Hello Stillwater — here’s your guide to exciting things happening around town today and in the near future. Whether you’re looking for creative inspiration, community connection, or just a good time, there’s something here for you.
Today’s Notables
On the schedule today, the Stillwater Public Library Foundation is kicking off Breakfast at the Library from 7:30 to 9:00 AM. Doors open early; the formal program begins at 8:00. Expect stories from local leaders including the Library Director and learn about upcoming milestones while enjoying morning bites and good conversation.
Upcoming Event Highlights
If today doesn’t quite match your calendar, here are some events worth planning for:
- Wednesday Coffee at the Library — September 2: From 10 AM to noon, grab a free cup of coffee or tea at the library’s info desk. A cozy chance to connect with neighbors and library staff alike.
- City Council Meeting — September 1: Two sessions will be held at 4:30 PM and again at 7:00 PM. If you’re interested in local policy or just want to see how the city operates, this is your front-row seat.
- Crusin’ on the Croix — September 2: Classic and vintage cars will line the streets from 3:00–8:00 PM downtown. If cars, community, and cool vibes are your thing, don’t miss it.
Extra Items to Watch
- Planning Commission Meeting — August 26 at 7:00 PM. Local planning, permits, and city design are on the agenda.
- Parks & Recreation Commission — August 24 at 7:00 PM. Discussion around green spaces, programming, and how we enjoy our city’s parks.
How to Make the Most of It
Many events are free or low cost. If you have time, try mixing something new with something familiar — maybe listen to the City Council discussion, then swing into Crusin’ on the Croix. Want a calm start? Breakfast at the Library offers peace before the day builds up.
To stay in the loop, bookmark the Discover Stillwater events calendar and the library program updates. You’ll see arts and culture happenings, legal meetings, and community gatherings appear often throughout the week.
