Stillwater’s Riverfront Revitalization: Enhancing Community Spaces

Stillwater is undertaking significant enhancements to its riverfront, focusing on creating vibrant community spaces and attracting visitors. A key project is the development of Lumberjack Landing, a 15-acre park along the Riverwalk. This initiative, in partnership with the National Park Service, aims to offer both recreational and educational opportunities, enriching the city’s connection to the St. Croix River.

In addition to Lumberjack Landing, the city has secured a $6 million grant from the Minnesota Legislature dedicated to park improvements. This funding will support various enhancements, including the addition of new amenities and the maintenance of existing facilities, ensuring that Stillwater’s parks continue to serve as cherished community assets.

These riverfront projects reflect Stillwater’s commitment to preserving its natural beauty while providing spaces that foster community engagement and outdoor activities. Residents and visitors alike can look forward to enjoying these improved areas, which aim to enhance the quality of life and bolster the city’s appeal as a destination.
