Stillwater Area High School
As the oldest high school in Minnesota, Stillwater Area High School has a storied history in athletics. The school offers a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, football, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, and wrestling for boys; and basketball, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and volleyball for girls. Over the years, the Ponies have secured numerous state championships, reflecting their commitment to excellence.
St. Croix Preparatory Academy
St. Croix Prep Academy provides students with opportunities to participate in sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, and lacrosse. The school’s athletics program emphasizes character development and teamwork, fostering a positive environment for student-athletes.
Community Sports Programs
Stillwater Mountain Bike Team
Founded in 2013, the Stillwater Mountain Bike Team has grown from 26 student-athletes to over 90 members. Competing under the Minnesota Cycling Association, the team balances competition with camaraderie, aiming to instill lifelong skills through the sport of mountain biking.
Chilkoot Velo
For cycling enthusiasts, Chilkoot Velo offers group rides and social events tailored to various skill levels. Since 2009, this community has been uniting cyclists in the Greater Stillwater area, promoting both fitness and fellowship.
Limitless Cycling
Dedicated to inclusivity, Limitless Cycling provides adaptive outdoor programs, enabling individuals of all abilities to experience the joy of cycling. By offering piloted adaptive bicycle and Action Trackchair® rides, they enhance the mental and physical well-being of participants.
Recreational Facilities
The St. Croix Valley Recreation Center serves as a hub for various sports activities. Featuring a dome field house and two NHL-style ice sheets, the center accommodates ice skating, field sports, and more. It also manages the Lily Lake Ice Arena, further expanding the community’s access to quality sports facilities.
