St. Croix Preparatory Academy also offers a comprehensive athletics program, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, and lacrosse. The school’s focus on fostering teamwork and discipline contributes to the personal growth of its students.
Community Sports Programs
Beyond the high school level, Stillwater provides numerous opportunities for community engagement in sports:
- Stillwater Mountain Bike Team: Founded in 2013, this team has grown to over 90 student-athletes from grades 6-12. They compete under the Minnesota Cycling Association, balancing competition with camaraderie and fun.
- Chilkoot Velo: Since 2009, this group has been uniting cyclists of all skill levels for group rides, social events, and competitive challenges, promoting group cycling and community in the St. Croix Valley.
- Limitless Cycling: An adaptive outdoor program dedicated to enhancing the mental and physical well-being of the community by providing piloted adaptive bicycle and Action Trackchair® rides.
Recreational Facilities

- St. Croix Valley Recreation Center: This multi-purpose facility features a dome field house, two NHL-style ice sheets, and manages the Lily Lake Ice Arena. It offers open skating, hockey, group skating lessons, and more.
